

I have gone back and forth over the years with different milks in my coffee. For awhile I was drinking it black until I started having stomach issues. Maybe the black coffee was too acidic for me. Besides I love my coffee rich & creamy.
For awhile I was making my own almond milk then cashew milk which wins for it’s creamy consistency. Recently I tried using hemp seeds. The winner it is! Easy, inexpensive & makes a rich & creamy coffee. Yes it is easier to pick up a milk alternative at the store, but have you ever looked at the ingredients? I can’t do it. So homemade hemp milk is the winner. Besides the added magnesium is always a bonus.
The recipe:
2 tbsp. hemp seeds, 1 cup water. That’s it. Blend for a few minutes, strain & enjoy. Go ahead and add cinnamon, honey or maple syrup if you are using the milk for cereals or baking.
